3 Months After the Fact...

Only 3 months late, but I finally got around to editing my shots from the Chandler Car & Hot Rod Show. Maybe someday I'll catch up with the Route 66 pictures from last summer--all 4,000 of them... :-) I tried to get artsy (and I had a GREAT teacher)! Thanks, Hollz!

Road Trip 2008!

Well, it's that time again--ALMOST! 4 more days and Holly and I will be hitting the road again. This time, we're trekking to Las Cruces, NM; Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA; Orlando, FL; Jupiter, FL; Atlanta, GA; Arlington, TX; Roswell, NM; and Ruidoso, NM before heading home on the 31st. It should be a lot of fun!

4,800 miles. Nearly the length of Africa (North to South).

75+ hours of driving time. 270,000 seconds of our lives we'll never get back.

50+ mpg and only $350 in gas for our beloved Prius. Priceless...

Celebrating Mother's Day and Dad's birthday

We all gathered at Dad and Mom's to celebrate Mother's Day and Dad's birthday (which is in just a couple days). Happy Mother's Day to Mom, and Happy (early) Birthday to Dad!

Sunday morning bowling

We (me, Allison, Dad, Mom, Mike, and Holly) all went bowling at AMF Lanes this morning around 10:00am. It's a good way to stay cool on a warm day, and I think everyone had a good time. Plus, a coupon for games for $.99 makes for a pretty good deal!

A beautiful day in Sedona

Allison, her parents, her brother, and myself made a day trip to Sedona last Saturday. Below are a few pictures I snapped during a perfect sunny Arizona day up north...

Sunny Arizona Visitors

Allison's parents and brother came out to visit late last week and are flying back to Illinois today. I just wanted to thank them for everything and wish them a safe trip home. I hope they had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather out here! We'll have some pictures to post in a day or two, so look for those soon!

Rock 'N Plants

It was Rock 'N Plants week at Holly & Mike's! Check out our front yard rock (woooohooo, no more grass!) and our new perty flowers. They're a little tiny now, but we're sure they'll grow quickly...

More rock...

Well, there's 10,000 more pounds of rock holding down Holly & I's front yard. We decided to pass on grass because of the up-keep and all the water to keep it green during the summer. So we added 5 tons of rock, and we'll be dabbling with some desert landscaping over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for pictures! It was dark when we got done shoveling, so sorry, no pictures tonight...

Tennis, anyone?

With it being a beautiful Sunday afternoon in the low 80's, Mike, Holly, Allison, and myself decided to play a little tennis over at SunBird before having dinner with Dad and Mom this evening. (Thanks, Dad and Mom!)

Sorry, I don't have any pictures from tennis or dinner, but you'll have to trust me when I say that evenings are PERFECT here right now; it couldn't have been nicer as we were eating dinner out on the patio. I guess we really need to take it all in before the real heat shows up!

Sunday afternoon

We spent the afternoon getting some things done around the house, and this evening, Allison and I went over to Dad and Mom's to hang out for a bit.

Yum! Hamburgers and sloppy joes!

Jeff snaps pictures when people aren't looking...

Smile!

Kitty just yawned...

Thank you, KU!!!

I have to admit, I wasn't feeling too positive towards the end of regulation, and I still can't believe what they did to force an overtime and eventually pull away... Congrats to a very deserving Kansas team!

Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!!!

What a great come-from-behind victory for the Championship!!!

The shot to take it to overtime...

Work before running...

On a warm day with a semi-cool breeze, Allison and I decided to go out for a little walk/run. It was just too nice to stay inside for too long. But before that, here's a quick snapshot of her working on her laptop...

Food and a (scary) game

Allison and I went over to Mike and Holly's yesterday to have dinner and watch the KU game. Unfortunately (for everyone), I was probably the most annoying person to be around...watching that big KU lead drop down to 4 or 5 points. I guess I have to apologize for that, but thankfully, it all worked out...at least for now. Thanks to Mike and Holly for having us over!
