Thanksgiving Celebration Pictures

Here are some Kansas Thanksgiving celebration pictures from Sunday. It's really nice today (Monday) and is supposed to continue thru tomorrow. My flight is tomorrow afternoon so I probably won't see any more snow this year!

Kansas

Jamie and Andy came over to Grandma and Grandpa's house with Wayne and Valerie last night. It was just beginning to snow when they got here. There was about 2 inches on the ground this morning, but no wind (thank goodness)!!!

O Christmas Tree

Due to the fact that Mom won't be putting up a Christmas tree this year (since she's in Kansas for a week), along with a little encouragement from Allison, I moved forward with a Christmas tree in my house. A BIG thanks to Allison for all the help, without which it wouldn't have happened.

Yesterday's Thanksgiving

I had a great Thanksgiving meal yesterday with Allison and friends at her apartment in Gilbert. And not only was the dinner great, but the weather was PERFECT (mid 70's), which meant we got to walk around the park a bit, as well.

Thanksgiving and New Shed Pictures

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving Day and of the new garage that Grandpa built.....IT'S STILL COLD!!!!!! Snow is expected tonight.

It's COLD!!!!!!

For all the Arizona people....there is a winter and it's COLD!!!! It has arrived in Kansas (along with me!) I can't remember the last time I had jeans on, let alone a sweatshirt! The thermometer says 16 degrees this morning, so I guess that qualifies for "cold" even for those who are used to it.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, no matter if you are in "cold country" or "warm country"! Have a GREAT Turkey Day!

Off to Kansas...for one of us...

For those that don't already know, Mom is on her way to Kansas for a week (she's been in the air for half an hour, for anyone that wants to be THAT updated--although she has a layover in Denver). I hope everyone has a safe trip for Thanksgiving...whether you are going somewhere or just sticking around. Gobble, gobble...

I guess you are wondering....

I guess you are wondering what our living room looks like since you have seen Jeff's different setup. Moving the stuff was lots of work, but as Jeff said, it was worth it. Now we can just settle in and enjoy!

The weather here has been perfect.....in the low 80's. It could stay like this for the rest of the winter as far as I'm concerned!

Pass it down

Thanks to Mom and Dad upgrading their entertainment center and television, I've accepted a position as the new owner of their former entertainment center and television. It wasn't pleasant moving it all over here, but it was worth it in the end.

Preseason ASU Basketball

Mike & I attended the preseason ASU basketball game against Grand Canyon University.  It was an open seating game, so we sat as close as we could get.  We had a wonderful time & ASU beat GCU 80 to 53.

Opening night for KU basketball

It's the start of a new season for KU basketball...and us 'Zonies are excited!

Don't ever leave me again, high-speed Internet

Does everyone realize how frustrating it is to lose your high-speed Internet connection...and how thankful we are when it comes back? I do. High-speed Internet decided to leave my house for about 24 hours before making a comeback due to some low-speed jiggling...

Flower and House Pictures

I finally got some pictures taken! I have been in the midst of my version of "fall housecleaning". Now the windows are washed, things are cleaned out, taken to Goodwill or put away and I'm starting to feel like I have accomplished something! It is still pretty warm here....we have broken all kinds of records in the last couple of weeks and temps have been up to 15 degrees above normal. We are all ready for the Arizona fall! I may have jumped the gun by a week or so, but I wanted to get the fall planting done so here are some samples of my work. I don't think you can see it, but there is one small bloom on the tomato plant, hopefully, I'll get at least one tomato!

Games

Allison and I went over to Mike and Holly's early this afternoon for some board games and a little TV. And, of course, Dakota joined in, too.
