Sun and relaxing
After a morning trip to Fry's for some groceries, Allison and I walked to the park several blocks away and decided to sit on the grass and rest for a little while on this last day of a long weekend. Tomorrow it's back to reality!

A busy day!
We had a pretty busy and productive day. After picking up the Christmas tree from Dad and Mom's house this morning, Allison and I did some running around (but didn't buy anything). Actually, Dad did pick up a garage utility shelf thing we were wanting, so I suppose that counts as something. Upon returning home in the afternoon, it was time to put up the tree, clean out the under-the-stairs closet, and put together the garage shelf.

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from Kansas! It is a typical fall Kansas day today, cool, but not too cold with a few clouds! They say there may be some of the "white stuff" overnight, hopefully, not too much! It would be nice to have several sunny, warm days! We just had Thanksgiving lunch with Wayne and Valerie and the whole crew will be here to celebrate on Sunday. I'll take lots of pictures! Hope all of you Arizonians are enjoying the rain you are having today! Have a great holiday!
Happy Thanksgiving!
We just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving today! Allison and I went for a walk early this morning, and I took a couple pictures of some beautiful flowering trees. The sun was shining and it was about 65-70 degrees during our walk, and then shortly after getting back to the house, a thunderstorm moved through the area. And right now, we're back and forth between sunshine and puffy (Kansas-wanna-be) clouds. I did manage to record a short movie clip of the earlier rain today (below). Up until yesterday, it had been months since we'd seen a drop!
We get excited about rain down here!

A storm door that runs in the family
Mom is spending Thanksgiving in Kansas
Be on the lookout for someone familiar beginning later tonight. Mom is flying back to Kansas today and will be there until next Tuesday. Tell her hi if you see her around. Happy (early) Thanksgiving to all of you in Kansas! We miss you all!

Early Thanksgiving Dinner
Since Mom will be back in Kansas for Thanksgiving, she decided to host the Arizona Thanksgiving today. And boy was it good!! Lots of amazing food and good company! Thanks to Mom and Dad for getting everything ready and cooking everything! I know Allison and I had a great time with everyone (Dad, Mom, Mike, Holly, Teri, and Bill)! As of right now, we're both still full!

New light fixtures
Stan and I have been looking for new light fixtures for the foyer, utility room and bathroom for a while and we finally found some we liked yesterday. We put them up this afternoon.....the pictures don't really do them justice, but we really like them.....for "non mechanically inclined" people it was an accomplishment!

Such a cute kitty!
As I was watching some TV tonight, kitty was in her normal spot...asleep on my shoes. I couldn't resist taking a couple pictures. She's been sleeping on my shoes for a year or two now (she's weird), and tonight her face was actually in my shoes. I have no idea how this is comfortable for her, but it's cute nonetheless!
A nice sunset...
Holly's Baby Shower
Here are a few pictures that I snapped at Holly's baby shower on Saturday afternoon....so many cute little things! Thank you to Holly's Aunt Mary and Teri (Holly's mom) for hosting a most enjoyable afternoon!

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Open House
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport had a free open house today from 9am to 2pm, so while I was out running around for a few other things, I decided to stop by and check it out. It's only about 15-20 minutes northeast of us, and below are a couple snapshots I took.
If you ever see the back of a running engine this close, it's probably a little too close!
