Yesterday was a beautiful day for golf

Dad and I went on our annual journey to the LPGA tournament yesterday. In previous years, the tournament had been held at Superstition Mountain about an hour away, but this year's Phoenix LPGA International had a new sponsor and location. It was held at the Papago Park Golf Course near the Phoenix Airport, and Dad and I pretty much made a day of it. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for golf! There's been an LPGA tournament in Phoenix for about 26 years, and there's a rumor that they may not be back next year, but hopefully that's not true. It's become a tradition for us!

A walk on a windy day...

Now I know what you're thinking..."Wind in Arizona...yeah, right!!" But we did actually have a windy day today...like 20-30 mph winds all day. But that doesn't mean it was a bad day. It was sunny and in the low 80's, so after running around the morning, Allison and I went for a walk down towards Hunt Highway...a road on the south side of Cooper Commons (and it's the Maricopa County line). It's just nice to get out and walk on the weekends...and the breeze felt good! Also, last night, Allison and I went to see "Rent: The Broadway Tour" at Gammage at Arizona State University.

We thought this little plant would die, but it started blooming this past week (like many other plants recently), and now it looks great again.

Yummy lasagna...

Dad and Mom invited everyone over for some great lasagna last night...and some brownies...and some cookies for dessert. With that, I say "Thank you!"...and "Yummmmmmm!"

Why must weekends come to an end?

It was another beautiful day in sunny Arizona today! And sometimes I just take random pictures at random times...

After running some errands this morning, Allison and I decided to take a little walk around Cooper Commons this afternoon to enjoy the beautiful weather. More flowers are starting to bloom here, so we're getting a lot of the color back in the area.

This pokey thing out of a plant went up maybe about 10 feet...and they get even taller. I'm sure someone knows the plant name...but I don't!

We were all over at Dad and Mom's for dinner this evening, so I snapped a couple pictures after we ate. There are also a couple other random outside pictures from Dad and Mom's house from several days ago.

Mike & Holly go to Vegas

We took a few days off to go to Vegas.  We stayed at the Luxor and had a blast!  Sadly, we didn't take too many photos!

Great Grandma and Grandpa's Visit.....

Carter is staying with us for a few days.....we hope that mommy and daddy are having a fun time on their little trip. I'm sure that Carter is anxious for them to be home so he can be back in his regular routine!!! Great Grandma and Great Grandpa went home on Saturday, they were greeted with some "chilly" temperatures! We hope they had a good time.... they are probably glad to be back in their regular routine too! Thanks for coming to visit us and helping us celebrate Jeff and Allison's wedding!

After getting some paperwork and other things done around the house this morning, Allison and I stopped over at Dad and Mom's earlier this afternoon. It looks like Carter is doing just fine as Mike and Holly are away in Las Vegas for a couple days.
